May 2025 saw the historic return of the World Angus Forum to Australian shores for the first time in 28 years. The event which brought thousands of Angus enthusiasts from across the globe was a success for 3R on numerous fronts.
In the record-breaking 'Elite Female' Sale 3R was represented by 3RLS Undine V009. A 13 month old daughter of Sitz Stellar, the heifer drew great attention culminating in her selling price of $26,000 for a 50% share to Gumnut Downs, WA. At full valuation ($52,000) she was the second highest selling lot of the sale. V009 remains at 3R to enter IVF embryo collection. We consider her of elite quality and look forward to her impact on both herds in the future.
Following the live animal sale 3R offered an embryo package in the 'Angus on Ice' sale offering. The donor female, 3RLS Undine T022, is one of the standout young donors in the 3R program and combined with new-addition to the 3R program, Millah Murrah Rocket Man R38, this mating is sure to be a knockout success. At a value of $2,500 per embryo, the purchaser of the embryos was Tony Gould, Ewingsdale NSW. We are sure these genetics will build Tony's program in the future.
During the Tamworth Expo we were thrilled to host our USA friends David & Seana Brown from Montana Ranch. The couple are well known as the creators of the much-admired podcast 'The Angus Underground' and conducted a large number of 'Man on the Street' style interviews. Equally insightful and entertaining we recommend listening!
